AMISTAD’s Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP) provides structured, discussion-based group sessions designed to support personal change and end abusive behaviors—whether physical, verbal, or emotional.

Our fully accredited BIPP equips individuals with the tools needed to foster healthier relationships and break the cycle of abuse. With a focus on accountability, education, and behavioral transformation, we help participants become better partners, parents, and individuals.

Program Overview

  • Comprehensive Education: Designed for individuals who have exhibited violent, abusive, or controlling behaviors in intimate partner or family relationships.
  • Structured Four-Phase Approach: Providing a clear path toward behavioral change.
  • Bilingual Accessibility: Sessions available in both English and Spanish.
  • Gender-Specific Groups: Separate sessions for men and women.
  • State-Mandated Requirements: Minimum of 18 weekly sessions (each lasting two hours), in compliance with Texas Department of Criminal Justice/Community Justice Assistance Division guidelines.
